RiffCasts

I went on a whim and bought an OLP Petrucci recently. In setting it up and testing it out I also recorded some tracks. Most of the rhythm tracks were done with the protective film still on the pickups as I thought I would return it. When it came time to do solos I had to take them off as it was inhibiting string movement/vibration.

This is dedicated to my folks whose B-days are the 7&10 this week. 78 & 85 yrs, married over 50. I love you both. JJJ is a concept piece combining elements of rock guitar and a Dixie/Swing vibe with a simple beat. I am a fan of S. Joplin as well as the Big Bands like Benny Goodman. Its one of the first pieces I did with RW and hence, its raw in places. I used stereo guitar models and you can hear at times there is a 'phased ' effect.

This is a short instrumental that Dyonisos (Dan Cowen) posted for a collab a couple months back. I came in and laid a bunch of solos over the riffs in a fusion style with the approach being of a sax player/Holdsworth vein.
