Slider Remix
More

A remix of 2 y.o. Slider to tone down the chimey backing guitar and replace with new rhythm section and brighter drum tracks. I think it's easier to listen to now. Let me know if you like it. Peace...Tim

Drippin Wet
More

My RR entry - 8/2/08 note: before I wrote and recorded this song, I approached this particular tune with the intention of creating a very wet and sluicy feel to it - therefore the use of the heavy chorus and modulation FX. The title was chosen to reflect this vibe and seems to somewhat fit the theme of this RiffRumble. Thanks in advance to anyone who takes a listen. Best of luck and peace to all...Tim

Here's a little shuffle without much distortion on the guitars. This is one musical genre that I don't play very often, but decided to give it a try. Hope you enjoy it - it's a fun song. Play LOUD. Peace...Tim

Lauryns Song
More

Here's a song that I wrote and played for my oldest daughter Lauryn. She likes the acoustic version, but I took some liberty with the song and added some other guitar parts. The melody is at least 5-10 years old, so be gentle on me. I hope you all enjoy it - most importantly to you Lauryn. ps: Same old tones and patches apply. Peace...Tim

Tribal Stomp featuring Rick Andrews
More

Here's a new song that I started a few months ago. The idea was to create a Tribal vibe (ala Peter Gabriel) with increasing drum riffs. I invited Rick Andrews to throw down some lead guitar. I'm sure you'll recognize his licks - very creative and cool. I hope you like the vibe - it's different, but ended up better than I expected - especially for a song that just started as an Rex drum experiment. Kudos to Rick for laying down some killer chops that give the song some personality. Also, thanks Rick for being patient - I know I've been sitting on this for a while. Hope you enjoy it! Peace...Tim

Down Right Nasty remix
More

Here's a remastering (fancy for remix) of my first Riffcaster post - back on Nov 11, 2005. I've only recently figured out how to add EQ and use some of the built-in effects from Riffworks, so I thought I'd attempt to brighten up an old song. It also lacked a bass layer, so I added one to complete the song. I used the JCM800 patch (which I rarely use today) and Heavy Core Two drums throughout. It's a pretty simple driving rock tune, but does make me remember what it was like when life somehow changed after I got my XTL and Riffworks. I had two comments on the original post thanks to Bob Sweigart (the other was a reply from me, so as Les would say, it was a dud :-) Anyway, I think it sounds better and I'm enjoying it again. Play it LOUD and let me know what you think of the old stuff ;-) Peace...Tim

I was noodling around and this is what popped out. I have no idea how to describe this style - it was just a spontaneous thing that flowed out. Let me know what you think about this thing - it's a little different, but then a little familiar. Hope you like it - Peace...Tim

Burnt Offering
More

Here's a quick new one from me - same ol tones and what not. Any one reading or versed in the Old Testament might understand the title. I used the Gas and Go drummer for the first time. Take a listen and comment - good or bad. It took a few mixes to get it to this point - hope you enjoy it. As usual, play LOUD and thanks for the 4 1/2 minutes of your time. Peace...Tim

Train is Comin
More

This one started out with the opening riff and the vibe had that old ''Train Station'' feel to it - I worked with that theme as I wrote the rest of the song. Like any train ride, it starts slow and builds up momentum. There are a few stops and starts along the way, but eventually gets you where you wanted to go :-) Aside from the obvious, this TRAIN is a metaphor for life and the way you lead it. Live right and stay off the tracks and you'll be fine - if not, watch out. Play it LOUD and let me know what you think. Peace...Tim
