Well here's my ode to my ex-wife (Krisztina) written right after we broke up Sept. 2002.....it probably shows.... this is a highly emotion packed song for me that till this day, I can't play it live or even at rehearsal.... Krisztina and I ended up being better friends after the break up....ironic eh?

Recorded at home (of course) with a Custom Made In Brazil Guitar (Guitar riffs and solos) and lots and lots of brain damage!!! Post mix polishing was done with Cool Edit, Audacity, and Reaper. The guitar is a lefty Carvin DC127T, the mic an MXL990. Hi, Here is my RRriffrumble entry. This song developed into what it is through me trying to remember dreams. I guess it is my musical picture of the human mind when dreaming. All parts are just me with one guitar, plus the 'Funky Country' (doesn't sound much like country to me), and the 'Odd Time Slink' drum sessions. I've tried to use the intensity and variation to have as much dynamic effect in the song. Close your eyes anjoy it. I am home sick again........so I figured what the heck......get a song done. Proof I can still record a song in 2 hours or less!!! I used the Line 6 Treadplate amp, bare bones instant drummer, and Reason for the bass lines. No other 3rd party editing done....mix to ogg and uploaded.

Thank you to all of you who posted cheers for our Riffrumble III submission "After Hours" I appreciate the nice things you said about the tune. This song, "Run To Keep From Falling" is a different type of tune: Very jazzy, and built on a slow, rhythmic, infectious groove. The acoustic lead track builds each time to a strong bridge and some nice, understated solo tracks in the chorus, including a bass lead solo. It is dedicated to all of us who can't slow down. The title comes from my 88 year old Mother who once told me she had to keep moving to stay young and sometimes had to run to keep from falling. I hope you enjoy. Thanks, Jim Golden

This is a new song written and recorded over the recent Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Different from anything I've done before, it is a frenetic Latin-flavored track featuring an acoustic lead, driving bass line, a lot of percussion and a good horn section. The best compliment I have received, from the few people I have played it for, is that it sounded like it should be on "Dancing With The Stars". Well heres the finished/Electric version of my RiffRumble 6 entry. Done with my Les Paul and modified OLP Wolfy .........no TeleCaster on this one .....hmmmmm that feels strange eh? This tune was written by me a while back and re-wrote a couple of verses over the last week or so. This tune is done exclusively with DrummerHeads drum sessions which totally rock by the ways...........OK maybe a lil REX at the end but all Drummerheads besides that.
