Drop the top on a cool clear full moon night. That special person is beside you. The music is right. You can drive forever on the ''Open Road''.

This is a tune written and recorded in the Summer of 2007 but never released until now, as it is a departure from the usual jazz oriented material I do. I starting thinking back to the days I spent in Memphis, in the early 1980s when I was an on-air personality at WHBQ radio, and the great music in that city. In this song I was trying to capture the mood of what I saw many times; the sharp dressed guy with the big car, a hot babe on each arm, throwing down a lot of cash on both of them, and never realizing the girls would not be there if he wasn't spending the big bucks on them!!!

A gentle acoustic ballad. Listen to it with the lights down low and with someone you love. I hope you enjoy. Thanks, Jim
