I don't know how well a ballad will do but I hope that you all like it.

I wrote this song back in college on my acoustic guitar and from that moment I have heard even more than I have been able to express here. The Variax Acoustic guitar could add a dimension that only some of us could imagine. I promise that if I were to be lucky enough to win, I will re-record this piece as it should sound.

Well here it is... I almost posted this 2 days before the anouncement of Riff Rumble 9! LOL, not that i plan on winning but i decided to intise everyone to buy the download of the new CD by adding a similer vibe near the last minut of this entry that is like the one on the CD called '' Waited So Long To Get You'' It's also the onley one one the CD that has vocals! So listen up and buy up.... need more cash for the actuall hard copy CD LOL!!!!! Forgive my some what shameless promotion,LOL!!!!!!!! OK..just the Variax 300, Pod X3, Riffworks and some beverages..what more does a guy need? Hmmm...the Variax 300 could use a friend...hint hint...mwhauahahah...did I mention I use Line 6 products exclusively for recording and touring?....I'm just saying...I love Line 6. No really. I don't mind waiting for Gearbox for my POD X3. Please enjoy this song in a proper mellow state of mind.

I used some different things in this. Sound effects! The first is wind, from reel to reel recordings when I was in High School back in the 70s. (dating myself). The second is from recordings from the deep space probe, Voyager. The third is ocean waves. and last, thunder. This was a fun song to create, hope you enjoy!

This is a song written using RiffWorks.................complete with RiffRumbles 1st DRUM solo....that's right....DRUM solo! Drum solo done completely using Beta Monkeys DrumWerks 1-5 REX files.......Just Lil' ole me having a bunch of fun..........Guitars are my Tele, Epi Les Paul, and a Variax 700 Bass using the stand-up model.....gotta love that retro bass sound! :) This was supposed to be only a "fake" entry until I got my real one done ....but obviously THAT didn't happen!! :( ...............enjoy listening anyways with an iced cold brewski or 2 in hand..........and feel free to let out a YeeHaw here and there!....................................... I died 1000 Deaths during this record! Originally it was 12 mins... i have no idea, what the final version is like... i have no idea, which riffs or layers are in there.. i have no idea about the mixdown. unfortunately i had tons of problems with hardware, riffworks or whatever. the whole song was recorded for at least 3 times! I have apprx. 23 different files of this song on my desktop.. (18 of them i can't even open anymore: file invalid). A friend of mine joined me to add some crazy but totally awesome keyboard parts, hope you like it! anyway..here are the influences: Beginning: System of a down; Middle: Machine Head; Speed/Death Metal (Maiden, Bodom), Dream Theater Honkey tonk, ending ... no idea.. if there is no end.. please image a descend from D to A in quarter notes.. and some shit at the end! Hope you enjoy it anway! BTW: Thx Dug from Sonoma for his afforts to recreate parts of this!
