Submission Rules Were
- Record an original song in RiffWorks Standard or Line 6 Edition. Guide for How to easily create a song with RiffWorks.
- Submit one song to RiffRumble using the RiffCast button in the RiffWorks interface starting Jan. 24 through Feb. 7 (23:59 PST). In the pull-down menu in the interface, choose RiffRumble VIII. Here's an image.
- If more than one song is submitted, only the most recent one will be eligible.
- Syncing to ReWire devices is allowed.
- Songs that have been posted previously to RiffCaster are eligible.
- Songs submitted to previous RiffRumbles are not eligible.
- Contestants are responsible for checking the entry page and making sure their entry appears. Contact support here if you do not see it after about 3 minutes.
- RiffLink online collaborations are not allowed.
- In order to protect your music, songs submitted to RiffRumble are placed under the Creative Commons Music Sharing License.
- Be prepared to present .rws file to prove it was recorded in RiffWorks.
- Contestants worldwide are eligible - you do not have to live in the US.
Voting Rules - Popularity Category - Voting Closed
- Votes were accepted as 'Shouts' on each song February 8th (00:01 PST) - 14th (23:59PST).
- Invite people to add a comment to your song on your song's page starting February 8. Point your fans to your song's unique URL.
- Individuals, including contestants, may leave one shout per song entry starting Feb. 8th - it's OK if an individual also left a comment(s) prior to Feb. 8th.
- Voters may be logged in when they leave a comment or leave a comment as a guest. We have ways to see if people vote more than once. Tell people not to vote more than once. If someone votes for a song more than once, that song may become disqualified.
- Contestants who receive more than one vote per person, or cheer more than once for a song may be disqualified.
- Voters must vote from their own individual computers

- Each contestant received an email with instructions for voting. Vote by replying to that email, only once, before Feb. 14h at 23:59.
- Vote for only ONE song that is NOT your song.
