RiffRumble 14 Song Entries
Musicians worldwide used RiffWorks™, including RiffWorks T4 (free edition), to record songs with a holiday or winter theme. Some created songs completely on their own, while others used the free online collaboration features built into RiffWorks to record a song with musicians worldwide. Over $4000 in prizes! Special Guest Judge was the power pop band Rooney!
RiffRumble 14 was hosted by Sonoma Wire Works, developers of RiffWorks recording software and RiffWorld.com online collaboration and song posting community. The sponsors for this round were Dean Markley Strings Inc., Discrete Drums, and RECORDING Magazine.
About Rooney, the Special Guest Judge
Rooney is a five-piece rock band from Los Angeles signed to Geffen Records. The band is composed of: Robert Schwartzman, Louis Stephens, Taylor Locke, Ned Brower, and Matthew Winter. "Their music is reminiscent of British Invasion rock and 1980s pop, and has been compared to The Beatles, The Cars, Jellyfish and Blur. Having toured the nation with acts such as Weezer and The Strokes, Rooney's official website states that the band "manages to capture elements from the past four decades and make them sound modern today."
