I was sitting around thinking about Christmas carols and it dawned on me that Silent Night is basically a blues. So, I sort of made this a rocked up blues that goes even rockier toward the end. A big shout out to Auckland who laid down 5-string bass on this. Thanks, man! Have a Merry Xmas and thanks for listening and good luck to all entrants!

This Song should take you through 3 stages Sorrow, Redemtion, and Reborn. Maybe, there are 3 Guardian Angels for each of us? One that looks out for us, protecting us from others. One that looks out for others, protecting them from us, and one that drinks heavily and screws with the other two so they can make excuses when they screw up. That's what I think, mine were distracted this year. I hope all our Guardian Angel's will be with us all next year. There is still a Holiday Message that I have a lot to be thankful for. just a simple 3 minutes song with me using rewire for some keyboard/piano stuff-enjoy!!

Just moved to another city and don't have all my gear at the moment, so can't do a dedicated RR entry. So i'm entering my last cast, one I did when I was quite drunk, having wandered back from the pub with my mates. Cranked up the bar length to 24, a riff just came, groped around for a finger box for the lead, recorded a few takes. Has a raffish charm and the drunken cheers shines through! I think it was actually even done on Thanksgiving Day (was around late nov one drunken night)! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

this, is the feeling of pure sadness. especially so close to the holidays. it is the feeling, of when your dearly most loved, leaves you in the dust, after a joyfull holiday was planned. i hope no one else ever has to go through this.

My RR14 Entry. Has adult language early on. Think about a family Xmas that ends up as hell and you'll get the picture. the song is meant to be fun and slightly quirky; hope it works. Special thanks should go to Amit for the Intellriffer.

Night Divine

Here's a tune that was written in 2 days or so and recorded the solos, bass, vox, and finished writing the lyrics...within the last 2 hours or so.......as some of me Junkie buddies know........I've been without a day off for 53 straight days now so my MoJo has been been a bit missing lately....this one was written in my head and recorded the last few hours ......apologies as I'm a bit rusty on my Tele playing............rhythm on my Fender acoustic thru a Shure SM-81.....vox thru a B.L.U.E. Baby Bottle, all solos on me Taco Tele............

Frankenstein came over with his fretless bass, wanting to be in this contest after so much fun in the Halloween jam. I just didn't have time, but he said ''Let's do a quick greeting-card type snippet! Those are good folks at Riffworld'', and I said okay, you're right. I put some drums on and he did a few takes (he insists that Jingle Bells is a one-chord vamp!) and now we have a Frankie headshaking "Christmas-card" instead of a song (I snuck the B chord in there). He's mad at me for calling it Jiggle Bells, but that's what his head looks like when he's jamming -- big flat-ass block of head, rocking to it. So this little crap jam and our hearts say Merry Christmas to all of you and yours. We'll try to get a song done next time, and we're going to have fun listening to the real stuff from you folks!
